Lubbock Tejano Democrats will meet Friday, October 14 starting at 6:30 p.m. at 2002 Avenue J (the Union Hall) for the purpose of adopting bylaws.  This will be a short but very important meeting.  If your dues are current be sure to be there and help get the Chapter fully launched!

Join  the Lubbock Tejano Democrats membership drive on Friday, October 7 at the Rusti Nail Restaurant & Bar 2103 Marsha Sharp Freeway from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.

Light Hors d’oeuvres and Cash Bar will be available.

The Texas Water Development Board’s draft 2012 State Water Plan is available for public comment from Sept. 26 through Oct. 25. The plan is available online for review, and comments may be submitted in person today at a 6 p.m. public hearing at the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District office, 2930 Avenue Q, Lubbock, or to Kathleen Ligon either by e-mail, or by U.S. mail to P.O. Box 13231, Austin, TX 78711.

Representatives from the TWDB will be available to take comments and answer questions.  More meetings are scheduled around the state.
