Purchases must be made from April 16 – 25, but to reserve a rebate coupon either call or go on-line and fill out an application starting on about April 2nd. Watch this page for more information about where and how to apply: http://www.seco.cpa.state.tx.us/arra/rebate/index.php#offers. Without a “reservation,” rebates won’t be guaranteed.

Seems to me that if the Comptroller of Public Accounts (shrinking-government Republican, Susan Combs) maintained adequate staffing, it might not be necessary to bid management of this program out to a private contractor. We need to keep an eye on our “small” state government and follow where the public money is really going!

It’s an exciting time to be talking with people about our agenda for positive change. Our “I Support President Obama” bumper stickers are the crowd favorite.  With temperatures near 100 outside and not much cooler inside, those Bill White for Senate fans came in handy, too.  Be sure to stop in the Merchant’s Building to say howdy.
